Conditions: Copyright: Only original work, created by the author himself/herself will be accepted. Further, already existing or real persons are not allowed either. If you are not sure about your story, feel free to send us a synopsis. Exclusiveness: your story must not be published before generally. If it was published on the internet, you are to take it offline before it is published (except single pages for advertising). If your work has been published by another company before, we can talk about it and clear out the terms of it being published in germany if you wish. Generalities: The importance of the quality of drawing and storytelling are equal. Please do not neglect the plot by focussing on beautiful art. You should carefully read the tutorials on scanning and screentone) to prevent irreparable mistakes. In general completed work is preferred. If you are planning on sequels, you may hand in your concept. Rating: There is no limit (see 16+ & 18+). Rape, Furry and shota/lolicon (statutory rape) are prohibited. Format: Manga: 13,1x18,6cm (incl.3mm trim) 600-1200dpi; black and white/bitmap 400dpi; greyscale; (no RGB or CYMK) *.tif - separate data with text Concept: A concept contains all the information that we need for a manga-submission. Summary: "My story is about a robot that crashes on Mars." is not a good summary. It must give us a good and detailed impression of the whole plot, i.e. WHY that robot crashes on Mars, WHO his pilot is (and as much information about that guy as possible), WHAT happens afterwards and also information about the civilisation on Mars. Even if those details aren't actually vital for the storyline, it's always important to have a solid background. Also, don't leave out the ending for the "surprise". Characterdesigns: We need at least clean sketches of the maincharacters - don't worry, we're not interested in seeing sketches of those 200 side-characters that might show up. Speedy scribbles with messy lines aren't sufficient. A short list of the characters' attributes won't do either. We need a detailed description with characteristics, age, looks, background, ect. when sending the mail: If this is the first Email you're going to send us, it's most likely that we've never seen any of your art before. In this case introduce yourself first and include samples of your work(not older than two weeks) to give us a first impression. subject: use the project's name (i.e. "Lime Law", "Lemon Law", "Lily" or "Manga" for a single or multi volume) and the title of your submission hand in: - the concept - appr. pagecount - a short vitae of you Format: Only use *.doc and *.jpg. 72dpi (about 600x850px) is enough for the Sketches. send to: art-redaktion[@]fireangels.net Payment: The artists of accepted submissions will be contracted and paid a fee. They also receive 2-3 free copies and can buy additional copies at a sales discount of 40%. |
